HR Advisor vacancy – Liverpool – 28K - 32K per annum (negotiable) + benefits
Please note this HR Advisor role can be either Interim for up to 2 months or permanent.
My client is one of the fastest growing retailers in the country and has been established for over 40 years. The company intends to continue its rapid growth and has ambitious expansion plans. They are looking to recruit a HR Advisor;
• Level 5 CIPD qualified as a minimum; Level 7 would be ideal.
• A retail background is desirable but not essential
• The role would suit someone who is passionate and cares about delivering an excellent service.
• Someone with an employee relations background would be preferable.
To provide a highly accurate and comprehensive employee relations service to the business.
Based at head office this role will support around 1200 head office based staff (a varied internal customer base including white collar support functions (200), transport/drivers (200) and warehouse staff (800).
The business is rapidly expanding – opening roughly 50 new sites every year! – and this role will be supporting all level of shop based employees. The largest population are part time store assistants, and will also support cleaners, Team Leaders, Supervisors, Store Managers, Area Managers and Regional Managers.
The role is focused on acting as a 1st point of contact (both over the phone and face to face) in order to provide accurate and legally compliant employment relations advice and guidance, on a range of issues. These will vary on a day to day basis but the volume is very high; 10 – 15 calls a day per advisor, so 10 – 15 issues to deal with at any time! Not only will they be providing advice but then also dealing with the necessary administration i.e. written outcomes.
This role is highly reactive, with the environment being very interruptive, so this person will need to be able to work within such an environment. It is very fast paced and this individual will need to be able to react to issues as and when they arise.
Must be able to influence staff both face to face and over the phone, and also ensure that they can change their style depending on who they are talking to.
