JOB PURPOSE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITES



A large, highly commercial healthcare organisation is looking for a Senior Learning and Development Professional to join their business to lead their Clinical training department on a permanent basis. The post-holder MUST come from a medical / clinical background and be actively working towards their revalidation (and still be an active pin holder for NMC), alongside showcasing excellent learning and development skills.



Reporting into the Head of Learning and Development, the post-holder will facilitate the delivery of high quality training workshops and courses across the business (UK and Ireland), whilst undertaking line management duties for a team of six regional, clinical trainers.



The key focus of this role will be to integrate the clinical and CHAP (Care Home Assistant Practitioner) training agendas under one work-stream, to drive consistency and quality across both these service-critical areas. Working in collaboration with both the Head of Learning and Development and Head of Nursing, the post-holder will hold accountability for the design, delivery and evaluation of the below subject matters:



* Inductions for the operational clinical teams

* Clinical job skills development

* Nurse Preceptorship

* OSCE (objective structured clinical examination)

* International Nurse on-boarding and induction

* CHAPs development

* Clinical management development

* Senior Nursing Care Assistant job skills training



Ultimately the post-holder will be in charge of ensuring that the above training topics are developed, delivered and supported throughout the business, to ensure excellence in clinical competence and compliance in line with all current and future changes in legislation.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



* Strong line management experience

* Nursing qualification and active pin holder

* Knowledge and understanding of the care industry and regulatory framework

* Experience of training within a healthcare environment

* Full current driving licence (extensive travel is involved i.e. 2/3 days per week)
