HR Advisor – fixed term contract (Mat cover)

Tamworth location

£30,000

January – August



Purpose

To provide leaders and staff with advice, information and practical guidance on HR issues, including employment legislation and policy related matters. To engage on special projects, working independently and creatively and to develop a close working relationship with leaders.



Job description

• Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters and other legal paperwork as required, ensuring it complies with best HR practice and relevant employment legislation

Obtaining references

• Onboarding of new employees, including induction and data security training

• Promoting the internal referral scheme regularly

• Reviewing and updating staff handbooks ensuring compliance to Employment Law and Health and Safety Law

• Health and Safety on site, including site tours, fire evacuation regulations, access and building reviews, first aider at work reviews and compliance

• Planning for, execution and completion of probation reviews and annual reviews along with the Head of Talent Management

• Performance management planning and acting as an escalation point

• Absence Management (including return to work meetings) and ongoing medical case management

• Conducting 1-2-1's with leaders and in conjunction with the Head of Talent Management

• The management of disciplinary hearings and grievances

• Maintaining employee HR records via SharePoint

• Producing monthly absence reports

• Ensuring Company compliance with Employment Law, Health and Safety Law and the Data Protection Act

• Ensuring HR compliance with ISO9002 and IS27001

• Cooperating with audits and inspections

• Conducting some exit interviews where appropriate

• Owning and leading the TUPE process on outsourcing contracts

• Owning and leading the redundancy process should a team member be ‘at risk'

• Providing advice to leaders on all matters related to their team members

• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which may reasonably be required
