Learning and Development Business Partner





The role partners closely with HRBPs and the business leadership teams to ensure that an annual learning needs analysis is agreed and the businesses learning objectives are met in line with commercial and business requirements. Responsible for the delivery of the full range of learning and development solutions for Bank Treasury, Finance, Credit and Risk, IT, HR, Compliance and Legal.

The Learning Business Partner will be responsible for the delivery of a centrally guided book of work including induction, product, technical, customer service and behavioural programmes and initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

-Line manage the Learning and Development Specialist

-Deliver and manage effective induction programmes for all new starters

-Work with key stakeholders across the business unit to identify learning needs through an annual calendar and framework in line with Bank wide practice

-Design and delivery of appropriate learning solutions including product, technical and behavioural development using the 702010 framework and the on line academy where appropriate, as well as practical and engaging workshops.

-Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and internal subject matter experts as required to keep course content up to date and aligned with the business strategy

-Coaching and mentoring; identify coaching and mentoring requirements in development discussions with the HRBPs and business leadership teams – referring to the Bank wide coaching practice if appropriate

-Manage the learning and development budget in partnership with business unit leaders to ensure effective solutions are delivered measuring the continued effectiveness of learning activity, continuously reviewing the quality of learning initiatives and providing constructive feedback on course content for continuous development

-Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and reporting, version control and quality review activities required by the regulatory bodies are carried out to the standards required

-Development of continuous professional development routes for our graduate intake, in conjunction with their line managers

-Drive the utilisation of the Apprenticeship Levy across business groups; ensuring that professional qualifications are well managed and funded by the levy

Skills and Experience:

-Skilled in identifying learning needs and in designing comprehensive and practical learning solutions to meet business needs

-Experience includes partnering senior stakeholders and HRBPs across the business with a confident and credible approach

-Graduate and School leaver recruitment and development experience

-Can work well under pressure in a busy environment, is resilient with a proven ability to meet challenging deadlines.

-The ability to deal quickly and calmly with a range of complex demands

-Able to demonstrate an understanding of the full training cycle: needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation within a commercial organisation
