A leading manufacturing business with an unrivalled reputation is seeking a highly capable HR Manager. Reporting to the General Manager and acting as part of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for providing a generalist service to the business, whilst acting as a leader to an onsite HR function.



Due to the nature of this incredibly fast paced business, there is a tendency for HR to react to the needs of the organisation – something that is unlikely to change as it is engrained within its DNA. As such the HR Manager must be resilient, commercially aware and able to deliver boardroom strategy into shop floor delivery.



The role of Human Resources Manager will be to work as part of the Site Leadership team to develop, gain buy-in and then enable the management of the people strategy for the business.



Specifically;

• Support the General Manager and be part of the Site Leadership Team, facilitating and influencing discussions.

• Develop and then ensure the team delivers the Site people strategy to enable financial growth of the business.

• Manage strategic projects that could impact the site.

• Closely manage and identify methods of improvement to focus on reducing levels of absence.

• Manage succession planning.

• Manage turnover and ensure that this stays at a manageable level.

• Oversee recruitment strategies in order to improve time to hire, increasing brand awareness within the local community allowing the business to attract and retain talent.

• Identifying ways to improve Management capability.

• Review and modernise learning and development activities.

• Implement HR best practice and ensure legal compliance.



To be considered for this role you will:

• Have experience of working within a fast paced blue collar environment

• Have managed a HR team

• Hold a CIPD qualification (Level 5 as a minimum)

• Be a true HR Generalist who is happy to work both operationally and strategically.
