HR Business Partner vacancy – Field based, 35 – 40K per annum, car allowance, benefits

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a HR business Partner to work for a thriving business in the Leisure sector. Please note this is a field based role covering an area from Birmingham down to the South Coast. This is a 12 month FTC (maternity cover) job.

This role will suit a HR Business Partner with prior experience in a similar role, current knowledge and understanding of Employment Law, CIPD qualified and a strong employee relations background. You will also be getting involved in Recruitment and Learning and Development.

My client is hoping to hear from HR business partner's who've had exposure to the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors but this is desirable not essential.

• Talent Management

Conduct regular reviews of our talent pool and succession plan to identify and plan for internal opportunities

• Employee Relations

To provide HR advice and guidance to all managers within the region on all disciplinary, grievance, conduct and capability issues within the area where needed.

To lead on the management of casework relating to absence and health issues.

To provide HR guidance and support in line with legislation in relation to organisational change, including redundancies, TUPE transfers, the harmonisation of terms and conditions and departmental restructures.

To liaise with the Company's in house and external employment lawyers on any employment law and/or Tribunal matters.

• Recruitment

To provide practical support/coaching in recruitment skills to all managers within the region.

To assist in the design and delivery of any skill improvement workshops, including handling disciplinary issues, absence management, performance appraisals and supervisory skills.

• Miscellaneous

To be involved in HR project work as and when required.

To implement new HR policies and procedures as required


• A fun, outgoing and personable persona! Very much a "people person".

• Experience of working in the leisure, hospitality or retail sectors is desirable

• Experience of working in a field based role

• Strong ER experience with up to date employment law knowledge.

• A self-starter – you will be organised, able to work autonomously and skilled at managing your own workload to meet deadlines.

• Extensive travel will be required throughout the Midlands and South Region with a requirement for frequent overnight stays.
