Package: Base salary up to £65,000 per annum + bonus and benefits package
Network HR have been appointed on a retained basis to assist a leading Insurance business, based in Central London, to hire a Learning and Development Manager in a brand new, permanent position.
The Learning and Development Manager will report directly in to the HR Director, working in a hands on / standalone fashion supporting the entire business (circa 300 employees). This opportunity is best suited to an ambitious individual keen to build a function / team and step into a Director role as the organisation grows.
The successful Learning and Development Manager will have previous exposure to the Insurance sector and have held a stand-alone / number 2 role with responsibility for the learning and development budget and strategy. Experience implementing an LMS / e-learning platform and the use of Articulate system is also required.

The Learning and Development Manager will play a leading role in establishing a new Learning and Development function and will manage the strategy that supports both operational training and the long-term business plan.
Working in a small and dynamic HR team, and in collaboration with the management team and key business stakeholders, you'll be responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of pragmatic learning solutions. You will champion a culture of continuous learning to ensure that employees are able to fulfil their potential within their roles and enjoy an outstanding learning experience.
You will leverage technology and learning and development tools to deliver quality training practices across the business and will manage the budget, ensuring the learning programmes deliver ROI and help reinforce our core values.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Experience as a ‘hands-on' Learning and Development Manager, or number two role within insurance
• At least 5 years learning and development experience with training needs analysis, design and delivery (classroom and eLearning)
• Experience of creating innovative eLearning content (ideally using Articulate software to an intermediate level)
• Previous experience of managing and deploying a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Significant experience of facilitating group training sessions and delivering training
• Experience of design and roll-out of leadership and management development training would be advantageous.
• Strong academic background – preferably educated to a degree level
