South London



£52,000 per annum



As an experienced Employee Relations expert, are you now on the look-out for your next HR role, with an immediate start? Can you easily commute to South London? And do you have previous experience of managing & resolving a variety of complex, ER issues, advising the wider business appropriately?

JOB PURPOSE



The post-holder will implement and facilitate all employee relations related processes within the business, alongside advising senior stakeholders on best practice, management of complex ER casework, and also proactively identifying areas where ER can add value/ provide solutions in support of strategic goals and improving organisational performance.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



* Become the main POC for complex ER issues within the business, providing a first class service

* Deal with grievance procedures and undertake complex disciplinaries / investigations /appeals plus manage (and attend) employment tribunal claims /cases where necessary

* Also, when suitable, migrate tribunal claims by tackling ER issues early and effectively

* Manage Occupational Health cases appropriately i.e. long term sick cases

* Challenge and improve people policies, processes & practices focused on ER & OH

* Work in partnership with the HRBP team to understand key performance issues, objectives and drivers within the organisation

* Plan, design and evaluate ER related initiatives, ensuring that they support the immediate and also future organisational, strategic goals

* Coach and upskill managers to understand and deal with ER issues in a more proactive way

* Assist the business through periods of change, managing risk and ensuring that the workforce are engaged appropriately, driving positive transformation



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



* Ability to work in South London (THIS IS NOT A CENTRAL LONDON ROLE)

* Ability to interview for, and start, a new role ASAP i.e. by the end of October 2018

* Demonstrable, extensive ER management experience with a proven track record in managing & resolving complex casework

* Established experience of coaching and developing managers and Directors in relation to ER

* Strong knowledge of managing cases related to TUPE, Acquisitions, Restructuring & Redundancy
