Interim HR Generalist (12 months)



A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a HR Generalist for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. Working as part of an established HR team you will act as a central point of contact for 300 employees in this fast paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with the Plant HR Manager, the HR Generalist will ensure that all operational HR issues are managed accurately and with consistency, whilst providing a truly generalist HR service.

Responsibilities will include:

Upskilling Line Managers to ensure they are self sufficient in order to better deal with their own HR/People issues;

Managing ER issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance management, sickness, RTW etc;

Managing relationships with any external providers;

Driving the recruitment process, ensuring vacancies are managed in a timely manner;

Being involved in strategic projects around talent management and succession planning;

Involvement in Change Management activities including TUPE, reorganisation etc.

To be considered for this role you will:

Have worked within a fast paced blue collar environment (manufacturing, engineering, distribution, logistics would be ideal);

Have worked within a unionised environment;

Have been involved in TUPE transfers;

Have the ability to challenge members of the Senior Management Team (when needed);

Commit to the 12 month contract.
