£35,000 - £38,000

We are currently working with a national, private healthcare business to source them a new HR Advisor, to join their organisation on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have gained prior exposure to working within fast paced, commercial yet corporate environments, alongside showcasing a strong generalist skillset including excellent ER / Employment Law.

Key duties:

• Competent and effective in the provision of a professional HR advisory service

• Proactive in ensuring the ongoing development and promotion of the Human Resources function enabling the provision of an effective HR service

• Support the CHRO in the implementation of the Local HR Strategy

• Ensure that sickness and absence is monitored and managed in accordance with HR policies and procedures

• Case manage, provide advice & guidance in respect of grievance, disciplinary and capability issues up to and including dismissal, referring more complex cases to the CHRO

• Manage and provide advice on probationary review matters up to and including dismissal, referring more complex cases to the CHRO

• Working closely with the Central Resourcing Team, ensuring an understanding of current recruitment needs to be able to provide support managers

• Coordinate and support TUPE and redundancy procedures as required

• Participate in the provision of HR specific training to Line Managers and deliver People

• Management Workshops to Heads of Departments and Supervisors, ensure mandatory training targets are achieved

• Prepare a monthly Operational Report to be presented at senior level

• Contribute to the internal HR communications with the CHRO

Skills & Experience:

• Graduate level education or equivalent experience

• CIPD qualified

• Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures

• Solid experience in Human Resources providing complex HR advice in a multi-disciplinary organisation in either the public or private sector

• Case management experience of sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance is essential including experience of hearing grievance and disciplinary cases

• Knowledge of the principles, tools, techniques and developments in HR management

• HR systems experience, ideally Workday, but not essential.

• Up to date knowledge of employment law along with good employment practice

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including word, excel and PowerPoint

• Experience of creating MI reports
