Interim Senior HR Business Partner



Covering sites in Surrey, Kent and East London



Day rate of up to £500 plus expenses (via an umbrella or limited company)



A large, national service provider is keen to secure the talents of a hardworking, highly knowledgeable Senior HR Business Partner, for a 12 month interim contract.



The successful post-holder will have extensive experience of working across multiple sites, handling high-level, fast paced operational and strategic HR & OD issues within a heavily blue collar, services led workforce (i.e. Utilities, FM, Healthcare, Construction, FMCG, Transport etc.)



My client is looking to engage with candidates who are immediately available for work (or max 1 week notice) as there is an urgent requirement for this contractor to start a.s.a.p. with the business (interviews are being held throughout August).



JOB PURPOSE



The post-holder will be responsible for handling operational HR issues, as well as providing guidance and strategic advice on a range of change & organisational development initiatives – this will be across 3 key sites in the South-East of England.



The chosen directorate for this Senior HRBP is currently focused on several multi-million pound contracts, so a candidate who has exposure to both managing HR processes within this ‘bid & tender' environment as well as through periods of change, will be highly advantageous.



The ideal candidate will have an excellent, extensive generalist skillset, alongside the ability to be diplomatic plus influence stakeholders successfully, both challenging and advising on the best operational structures and workforce planning for the contracts in question. There will be elements of ‘reactive fire-fighting' on a daily basis to deal with and the chosen HRBP will need to ensure suitable visibility within these sites.



The working pattern will involve elements of home working, but there will be a strong necessity for the HRBP to travel to sites within this region at least 3 days per week (at times more), therefore someone with either access to their own transport or who has the ability to travel on public transport easily will be essential (the former will be easier!)



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



* Professional HR qualification such as CIPD and/or a HR degree or masters

* Senior, generalist skillset within a relevant blue collar led, multi-site environment

* Extensive Trade Union experience

* Excellent OD and Change Management knowledge

* Strong commercial mindset, with a ‘business savvy' approach to aligning HR strategy to wider business objectives

* Ability to travel regularly

* Diplomatic persona with the ability to ‘roll your sleeves up' and hit the ground the running
