Senior HR Advisor



A globally established manufacturing business is seeking a Senior HR Advisor. Working in this newly created role – a position established both to bridge the gap in the HR structure between HR Manager and HR Coordinator, and also to allow the HR Manager to focus on strategic HR issues – you will provide a truly hands on generalist service to a diverse internal customer base.

With the business having recently appointed a new General Manager and restructures having taken place, the focus of this role will be to provide proactive HR support whilst dealing with business as usual matters, and the occasional ER/absence issue.

Responsibilities will include:

Organisational change and development;

Consultations with Trade Unions around change management activity;

Design and deploy an Employee Engagement strategy;

Design and deploy a skills matrix, taking in to account pay grading and a holistic review of talent and succession planning;

Establish monthly Staff Forums;

Facilitate these projects whilst providing a Business Partnering service to Line Managers, and as such, develop Management capability in terms of dealing with their own HR issues.

To be considered for this role you will:

Be a Generalist HR practitioner having touched on the above mentioned responsibilities;

Have worked within a fast paced environment;

Be comfortable engaging with a varied workforce from the MD down to shop floor staff;

Be hungry for development, with the aim to one day become HR Manager.
