Our successful 'Market Confidence Survey' to HR & Training Professionals provides an interesting insight to how the HR market is both feeling and responding to current market conditions, Whilst it was no surprise that 81% of organisations were feeling the effects of the global economic downturn, we were encouraged to see that 66% feel secure in their role and 61% of respondents are optimistic and ready for the challenge for the year ahead. Also, it is encouraging that 58% of companies have either increased or at least kept their training budgets the same as 2008. What is interesting is that 84% of respondents felt that the media coverage of the economic downturn has been exaggerated, damaging and overly negative.
